MJ Releases 25th Anniversary Edition of Thriller

Michael Jackson wouldn’t like the music industry right now. Biting and style-stealing are at an all time high. While record sales and creativity are at an all time low. Back in 1982 MJ changed the face of music, video, and entertainment with the album Thriller.

Videos from the album revolutionized the industry and gave legs to an up and coming cable station named MTV. Thriller saw seven singles go on to perform well which was unheard of at the time–and even now. To date the album has sold over 104 million copies, easily making it the best selling album of all time. Sunday the album was recieved the Grammy Hall of Fame award in it’s first year of eligibility.

The 25th Anniversary Edition is being released today with renditions and remixes from Kanye West, will.i.am, Akon, and more. Several other artists including Chris Brown and Nick Cannon are participating in a 40 episode podcast series called Thrillercast.
